Natural resources

Mr. Hani: Good morning, class! Today, we will talk about natural resources. Do you know what natural resources are?

الأستاذ هاني: صباح الخير يا فصل! اليوم سنتحدث عن الموارد الطبيعية. هل تعرفون ما هي الموارد الطبيعية؟

Ali: Yes! They are things we find in nature, like water and trees.

علي: نعم! إنها أشياء نجدها في الطبيعة، مثل الماء والأشجار.

Mr. Hani: Very good! Natural resources help us in our daily lives. Can you name a natural resource we can find in Egypt?

الأستاذ هاني: جيد جداً! تساعدنا الموارد الطبيعية في حياتنا اليومية. هل يمكنك تسمية مورد طبيعي نجده في مصر؟

Mona: The Nile River! It provides water for drinking and farming.

منى: نهر النيل! إنه يوفر الماء للشرب والزراعة.

Mr. Hani: Excellent! The Nile is the most important water resource in Egypt. What other treasures does Egypt have?

الأستاذ هاني: ممتاز! النيل هو أهم مورد مائي في مصر. ما الثروات الأخرى التي تمتلكها مصر؟

Ali: We have oil and natural gas. My uncle works for an oil company.

علي: لدينا النفط والغاز الطبيعي. يعمل عمي في شركة نفط.

Mr. Hani: That’s right! Oil and natural gas are used to make fuel and electricity. What about farming?

الأستاذ هاني: هذا صحيح! يُستخدم النفط والغاز الطبيعي لصنع الوقود والكهرباء. ماذا عن الزراعة؟

Mona: We grow cotton, wheat, and many kinds of fruit.

منى: نزرع القطن والقمح وأنواعاً كثيرة من الفاكهة.

Mr. Hani: Well done! The fertile land along the Nile and in the Delta region helps us grow food.

الأستاذ هاني: أحسنتِ! تساعدنا الأراضي الخصبة على طول النيل وفي منطقة الدلتا على زراعة الغذاء.

Ali: I read that Egypt has minerals, too, like gold!

علي: قرأت أن مصر لديها معادن أيضاً، مثل الذهب!

Mr. Hani: That’s right! Egypt’s deserts contain gold, iron, and other minerals, as well.

الأستاذ هاني: هذا صحيح! تحتوي صحارى مصر على الذهب والحديد ومعادن أخرى أيضاً.

Mona: They’re used to make jewelry, make buildings, and help our country grow.

منى: تُستخدم في صناعة المجوهرات وبناء المباني ومساعدة بلدنا على النمو.

Mr. Hani: Well done, class.
